The 10 talents

During the recent “Saved” concert last nov 25, I was reminded of the parable of the talents. For those who don’t know what it is here is a gist.

Jesus was talking about different 3 people who were given 10, 10 and 2 talents (or minas) each respectively. The owner leaves and returns and found that the first two made use of what they had and earned a bit more while the last one just kept the money and didn’t want to risk the master getting mad at him. To the two who did something The master commended and gave more, but to the one who didn’t do anything here is what he said “Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one with the ten bags of silver. To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away. Now throw this useless servant into outer darkness!”

To know the whole story read Matthew 24:14-30. This story made me do an account of all the things God has given me and what I’ve been using them
For. There are two talents that’s been accumulating dust and that’s music and writing. So this coming year, I promised myself to learn either keyboard or guitar so I can compose more songs. I should write…. I should write!!

As I write this I’m here in the christmas party of FilScap (Filipino song writer, composer, arranger and producer) and just trying to collect positive energy from people I’m with. I did see old friends and won some prize.

Another cool thing that happened here is getting my pay card :)
