People love imperfectly. But with love that comes from a perfect God, anything is possible–even second chances.
Meme and Poms have been married since 2002 and their lovely children, Poncee and Paige, are sure blessings. But family life is not always a smooth ride; conflicts and misunderstandings come like bumps on the road that test even the sturdiest of marriages. And in 2008, Meme and Poms thought enough is enough. Although still living under one roof, the two emotionally drifted apart. It was at this point when Poms realized that their love alone could not hold out for an imperfect marriage. Through the help of her discipleship group at church, Poms started to pray for God to take over and heal her marriage. And like a miracle, Jesus worked in the hearts of Meme and Poms. Their marriage was rebuilt–refreshed with a new hope in God’s perfect love.
Today, the Chan household gratefully lives this second chance to love and serve the Lord as a family. Meme and Poms’ story is truly a proof that with Christ at the center of families and marriages, nothing is impossible.
